Joe's Weekly Video Game Rant's – 09

This week's rant is tattoo's.

So what's up with all these supposed gamers getting tattoo's of games on their bodies? Does that show other people just how hardcore they love that game? Nope. It just shows that instead of playing that game, you were out spending money and wasting time getting that tattoo done. Like these Gears of War tattoo's I keep seeing on the twitter. It's like, "Son, while you were getting that, I was playing Gear." It's like you can talk for hours on how much you like a game, or show people your tattoo to let them know your love for the game. None of that stuff matters in the end, cause all of that prevents you from actually playing the game.

Just because you say it doesn't mean it's true. Like, let's compare your playtime vs my playtime. Than we shall really see who is more hardcore in love with the game. I mean let's just be honest. There are a lot of new great games coming out these days. Things that you might want to play. Only thing is, all I want to play is Gears. So just because I don't have a tattoo, does that mean I don't love the game as much as this guy who does have a tattoo of it?.

In closing, if the only way you know how to show your love for a game is to go get a tattoo. Go for it. I mean it amazes me that you would get a tattoo of a game that you supposedly love and only play said game a couple of times a month if lucky. But hey, the point is to get the word spread out there right? WRONG! I don't want people who don't play the game all that much to be talking about it. They won't send the right message across. They won't describe the game with the zest and zeal (are those words?) of a true fanboy. Let me say though, that there are some legit people out there that get tattoo's and truly do love the game. I know a few that put in at least 5 hours daily on Call of Duty (why they love that game will always be a mystery to me. Spray and pray all day long). So for 5% of you out there who are legit. I apologize for these statements. For the 95% of you posers out there, just stop. You embarrass me and the true fans of that game.

P.S. Keeping it short cause there will be another one of these very shortly on the Back to the Future game on PC episode 1, maybe 2 if I have the time (oh get it).
