Game Review: Super Street Fighter IV & Left 4 Dead 2 DLC "The Passing"

Welcome back for Episode 12 of the Express 120 Podcast. This week in gaming brings us news, reviews, gamecrush comments …? Joe “The Master” Yu & Soybomb go over what is awesome and why Capcom chose the funky price. Joe gets into character details and character picks for pwning. Tournament DLC coming soon? Let’s hope this next gen Street Fighter lives up to its name. SUPER!

Also released this week was the Left 4 Dead 2 DLC “The Passing”. Agent Diaz goes over why this is so freakin’ awesome. New campaign, new weapons, new zombies and an awesome way to vote on how the game will “mutate” over time. Valve, nice work.

Game Industry News

Ubisoft’s DRM was fully cracked by a hacking group called Skid row. Are you done yet Ubisoft?

Activision in the news once again. Infinity Ward is pretty much done, go team Respawn. But the news is that Bungie signed a contract with Activision. Joe “The Master” Yu gives them 3 years from the day the show was recorded. May 1st. Quan Chi says 2 years. Soybomb says after Halo 7. Get in on some of this action.

Oh yeah, also something about Sony getting sued over them changing the ability for the PS3 to run a different OS. PS3 owners that have their addresses registered should probably look forward to a cut of that lawsuit. On the bright side of Sony, news is that the RSX CPU chip has been redesigned to be smaller and more efficient. Lower cost, lower power output, smaller PS3? A win win situation all around in hopes that Sony can begin to turn a decent profit on the PS3.

Boy Scouts of America are pro Video Games now. You can now earn your merit badge for learning ESRB ratings, making a healthy video game schedule. As much as we agree that kids need to limit their time playing video games, what kind of survival skills are these young boys learning? Maybe they’re in training to be pro Halo 3 players and need to also pick up a few hours of CoD: MW2?
